Pastor’s Christmas Message 2019

Pastor’s Christmas Message 2019

Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

I’m feeling that wintertime has come early this year, and it feels very cold before Christmas. When it’s cold, we all need warmth. The families in Langenburg, Churchbridge and Spy Hill all have homes with good heating to keep them warm and comfortable.

But in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago, there was a baby who was very cold in the manger. There was no heater there. That baby is Jesus, our Savior, who was only warmed by the breath of animals in the stable and by the love of his mother, Mary and his father, Joseph.

Outside of our area in the world today, there are many babies and children just like Jesus who are experiencing the cold. Their coldness comes in the form of poverty, lack of clothing, lack of good food to eat, no clean water to drink, and inadequate housing. There is no one to care for them, and they are often abused by adults. They experience coldness in their hearts due to the lack of love from others and perhaps, the lack of our concern(?)

As we celebrate Christmas this year, I would like to invite you to think of the unfortunate children around the world. These children need our attention and prayers, and they are in need of us extending our arms and embracing them. Let us help them feel warm and be loved, and may their smiles radiate the concern that we feel for them.

May all of you have a warm and blessed Christmas, and may you experience the love of God and love for our neighbours.

Wishing you all the best in the new year, 2020.

May God the Savior bless you today and forever.

Sincerely in Jesus Christ,

Paul Mau Nguyen, Pastor.
